"This story began with a settler who became completely obsessed with this Spanish Mustang. This man devoted a huge portion of his life to the capture of this legend. The account stated that he had been tracking this horse for years hiring trackers and horsemen to aid in the capture. Early one morning he comes upon this equine figure that has haunted his dreams. He spurs his horse to chase. As the chase leads towards the edge of a canyon he expects the horse to slow down or turn. But with an air of confidence the horse picks up speed and as it reaches the edge of the canyon makes a daring and impossible leap to the other side. So legends are born. And hearing about them encourages us to keep looking for them. Because who is to say that the horse isn't still running the prairies unbroken, untamed, with the heart of the west still beating strong."
